OggCamp12 - Culture Jamming

You like Jam right! Well, do you like Raspberry Pie sorry Raspberry Pi - if you know what Raspberry Pi is then this event coming up in August is just for you.  It's all part of OggCamp - the free culture Unconference which will see 300 developers, technologists & artists gather for this unique event that celebrates all things Free and Open Source.

 

Open Labs which is part of LJMU are hosting a free 2-day event in Studio 19 of LJMU’s Art & Design Academy, where you can participate in a range of activities, such as:-

Raspberry Pi & Arduino : Tinker with circuit boards, learn how to add intelligence to everyday objects & connect using the Internet of Things
3D Printing : Learn how to use 3D printing & take part in the build of a 3D printer
ColourHug : Calling all photographers.  Play with this open hardware device to calibrate your display & get those colours spot on
Fignition : Get expert guidance on how to build your own 8-bit computer
Open Textiles : Join in the fun of finding creative ways to reuse old clothes
Open Architecture : Participate in the build of a construction created using open source design

Oggcamp12 proper will have 3 Barcamp style tracks & one scheduled speaker track with delegates from the likes of Raspberry Pi, Canonical, Mozilla & Google

There is also a fact based rumour of a special message from Stepen Fry to all the lovelies sorry delegates.
