Following the huge success of 2011’s monologue event Write Now have restructured and created their own solo performers platform.  The MonologueJAM, will feature for the first time as part of Write Now, Liverpool’s one-act play Festival at Parr Street Studio 2.

Parr Street Studio Two
Monday 02 April 2012
Doors open 9pm
Event starts 10pm til late

“MonologueJAM will be a major opportunity for performers” admits Festival Director Ian Moore, “And we’re looking for around twenty to stage what they would usually perform as audition speeches creating a unique evening’s entertainment.

“It will be the ultimate actor’s showcase, a new, exciting theatrical event for anyone to enter” added Rosalie Mieville, MonologueJAM Organiser.

“The event is a competition as well as an opportunity for performers to replicate an ‘audition-style situation.’”

The twenty performers will perform their speeches, which they themselves choose and run no longer than two minutes, to an audience which will contain a panel of ‘judges’.

“Write Now is not simply about new writing,” adds Rosalie, “it encompasses all areas of the performing arts, and this is a superb platform for performers to get much needed exposure.”

To register for the event you need to email Write Now telling us you intend to participate – also tell us what your piece will be - then purchase a ticket via the Write Now website.

This will cost you £10 but don’t fret, following your performance we will then give you that back!

If you want to attend but not perform tickets are priced at £5, again via the website…click here
