RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK (PG)

E.T. (U)
Steven Spielberg’s magical sci-fi classic about a lost little visitor from another planet, who is befriended and protected by a kindly young boy, the film remains a perennial favourite for children and adults of all ages. The legendary moments are still spectacular, such as the moonlit bike ride, and the unbelievably moving finale for which there won’t be a dry eye left in the house. Whether seen for the first time or for the hundredth, it’s a big screen treat you can’t afford to miss.

Tuesday 19 July, 6.30
JURASSIC PARK (PG)
The film that brought dinosaurs back from extinction and marked the return of Spielberg to what he does best - directing hugely exciting action movies with superb special effects. On a remote island, a wealthy entrepreneur secretly creates a theme park featuring living dinosaurs drawn from prehistoric DNA.

Tuesday 26 July, 6.30

THE GOONIES (PG)
A lively fantasy adventure, produced by Spielberg from his own story in which a gang of American kids discover a pirate map and embark on a suitably perilous search for buried treasure. Spectacular thrills and effects, and an affectionate nod to Warner Brothers swashbucklers of the ‘40s in the use of Erich Korngold’s classic score from THE SEA HAWK.
