Maker Faire Manchester - This weekend

Mini maker faire

This baby is gonna be lovely so let's celebrate as we finally have a Mini Makerfaire in the region.  It's on the 28th-29th July, and just down the road in Manchester so will definitely be worth a visit. so if you like robots, and electronics and the Internet of Things then this event is just for you

Maker Faire is the World’s Largest Show (and Tell) festival—a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning.

Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, artists, science clubs, students, authors, and commercial exhibitors. They are of all ages and backgrounds. Maker Faire’s mission is to entertain, inform, connect and inspire these thousands of Makers and aspiring Makers.

There will be loads going on but if you want to know a little more you can watch one of my dodgy video's from when I visited MakerFaire proper in Newcastle in 2010 where we see a piece of sheet metal being cut with a cucumber and a sausage.

Hope to see you there :-)
