Services String theory considers that elementary particles are manifestations of a more fundamental layer of nature described by tiny one dimensional strings. The theory was born in 1968 as an attempt to describe the strong force, but then miraculously unified gravity with the other three forces in nature. In his talk, Dr Tatar will outline some of the achievements obtained in String Theory during the first 45 years of existence.
