This month's Liverpool Acoustic Live event takes place on Friday 28th May 2010 at the View Two Gallery on Mathew Street. The doors open at 8.00pm with the music starting at 8.30pm and finishing at 11.15pm.
This month we've got three fantastic local performers, and one talented musician from Derbyshire.
Liverpool Sound City is much more than just a music festival, with movie screenings, photography exhibitions, Q & A sessions and football tournaments, also over 60 speakers and 1000 delegates will take part in the festival’s biggest music business conference which takes places in the Hilton and Hard Day’s Night Hotels.
With it being chosen as Top City Festival 2009 by Sunday Times Culture Liverpool Sound City has something for everyone - you don't get titles like that easily
During Liverpool's Light Night, there are a fantastical number of performances and shows taking place - here is a quick round up of a small few starting with the A Foundation gallery opening until 10pm giving visitors an extended opportunity to enjoy The Economy of the Gift, Saatchi Online: Northern Stars and the exhibition of work produced by A Curriculum's artists in residence. As if this wasn't enough, from 10pm until 2am A Foundation will continue their after hours entertainment with live music and performances in the café bar.
Festival Launch Party Celebrating WoW’s 10th Birthday!
Come and celebrate 10 years of a festival on the edge with exciting performances, readings and cake. Birthday guests include award winning writer Pauline Melville, (Shapeshier, e Ventriloquist Tale, Eating Air), poet Paul Farley, (e Boy from the Chemist is Here to See You, Ice Age and Tramp in Flames) and WoW new writers. Music to dance to provided by Kinda-a-Blue featuring Radio Merseyside’s soul diva Mandy Smith. Hosted by the legendary Julian Daniels.
