With less than a week to go until Liverpool’s FREE Africa Oyé festival at Sefton Park, this year’s event is shaping up to be bigger and more exciting than ever. Featuring performers such as Marcia Griffiths and The Sierra Leone Refugee Allstars, fervent festival goers from all walks of life have expressed their excitement at what promises to be another hugely enjoyable Africa Oyé.
Everyone was delighted to hear last month that Africa Oyé was going to be free after they had announced charges of £5 for entrance to what is Liverpool's best outdoor music festival.
Oyé have always maintained that they would love to keep the festival as a free event, and now and as they have told us against all odds they have managed to again make this a reality.
However, that doesn't stop them from needing a little extra support and so that have launched their own giving site on Indiegogo.
